When a subcontractor can’t commit to a schedule, can’t provide documentation, or surprises you with a change order at the worst possible moment, it affects every other trade on the project. MetWest has spent over 30 years refining a project process designed specifically to eliminate those surprises. 

Here’s how it works. 

Step 1: Estimating (3–5 Business Days) 

Send us your architectural drawings and we’ll take it from there. Our estimators do full take-offs — measuring every glass or wall surface on the spec — and return a detailed pricing estimate within 3–5 business days. No vague ballpark numbers. No hidden line items. 

Step 2: Field Measurements (3–5 Business Days) 

Our field estimator visits the site to verify all dimensions against actual conditions. This step exists because architectural drawings and field conditions don’t always match. Catching discrepancies before production begins saves everyone from costly re-dos and schedule delays.

Step 3: Elevations (2–3 Business Days) 

We produce detailed elevation drawings showing exactly how the specified film or wall covering will look in the space. These go to the designer and client for review. When elevations are approved, production is authorized.  

Step 4: Strike-Off Samples (2–3 Business Days to Arrive) 

Before we run full production, we print physical strike-off samples of the specified material, color, and pattern. These are shipped to the designer or client for approval. Production doesn’t begin until we have sign-off. This step prevents expensive reprints and ensures the installed product matches expectations. 

Step 5: Production (7–10 Business Days After Approvals) 

Once elevations and strike-offs are approved, our in-house production team runs the full job. In-house production means we control quality at every step — no third-party print vendors, no handoffs that introduce errors. You’ll receive production confirmation with an estimated ship or installation date. 

Step 6: Installation (scheduled prior to production)) 

MetWest’s installation crews are trained and experienced in commercial glass film and wall covering applications. We coordinate directly with your site superintendent to schedule access, confirm sequencing with other trades, and complete the work cleanly. After installation, we conduct a walkthrough and address any punch items before we leave the site
